About this course
BA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics, an economics and politics and international relations and philosophy degree exploring social systems through three distinct academic lenses. Core topics include Statistics and Research Methods. The course culminates in three independent research projects in the final year. The first year covers foundations through Economic Theory and Applications, Comparative Politics, Freedom, Power and Resistance: An Introduction to Political Ideas, Philosophy for PPE, and Maths and Statistics for Economics and Business B. The second year introduces core concepts via Intermediate Microeconomics and Intermediate Macroeconomics, alongside optional choices exploring political philosophy, moral philosophy, and econometrics. Optional modules in the final year allow specialisation in advanced economics, feminist philosophy, bioethics, and global politics, complemented by compulsory final-year projects in philosophy, politics, and economics.
