A level: AAA BTEC: BTEC qualifications in relevant disciplines are considered in combination with A Level Physics and Mathematics. Applicants should contact the School to discuss. IB: 18 points at Higher Level to include 5 in Higher Level Physics and 5 in Higher Level Mathematics.

About this course

BSc in Physics with Artificial Intelligence (International), a physics and computer science (artificial intelligence) degree integrating core physics principles with machine learning applications. Core topics include Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning and Research Methods. The course includes a study abroad year and a final year research project. The first year covers scientific artificial intelligence through the compulsory module Artificial Intelligence for Scientists, alongside optional choices. The second year focuses on machine learning and laboratory work via Foundation of AI: Machine Learning for Scientists and Physics with Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. The final fourth year centers on advanced artificial intelligence and project work through Advancing AI: Deep Learning for Scientists and BSc Research Project. Students can also select from optional modules such as Advanced Quantum Physics, Advanced Optics with Photonics, Cosmology, and Molecular Simulation with Machine Learning: Theory and Practice.
