A level: AAA (specific subject requirements) BTEC: BTEC qualifications in relevant disciplines are considered in combination with A Level Physics and Mathematics. Applicants should contact the School to discuss. IB: 18 points at Higher Level to include 5 in Higher Level Physics and 5 in Higher Level Mathematics.

About this course

MPhys, BSc in Physics with Artificial Intelligence (International), a physics and computer science (artificial intelligence) degree. Core topics include Research Methods and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. This four-year course includes an international study abroad year. The first year introduces computational methods through Artificial Intelligence for Scientists alongside optional choices such as Introduction to Nanotechnology and Planets and the Search for Life. The second year focuses on practical and computational techniques with Foundation of AI: Machine Learning for Scientists and Physics with Artificial Intelligence Laboratory. The final year involves an independent Integrated Masters Research Project and Advanced topics of AI. Students can also select from various optional modules spanning areas such as Quantum Field Theory, General Relativity, Exoplanetary Systems, and Quantum Information Science and Technology.
