A level: AAA (specific subject requirements) BTEC: BTEC qualifications in relevant disciplines are considered in combination with A Level Physics and Mathematics. Applicants should contact the School to discuss. IB: 18 points at Higher Level to include 5 in Higher Level Physics and 5 in Higher Level Mathematics.

MPhys, BSc in Physics with Astrophysics (Industrial), a physics and physics with astrophysics degree focused on astronomical systems and physical laws. Core topics include Research Methods and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The programme includes a dedicated industrial placement year and final-year research collaboration opportunities. Year 2 focuses on fundamental experimental and observational principles through the compulsory module Astrophysics and Experimental Skills. Year 4 centres on advanced astrophysical theory and techniques, featuring compulsory modules such as Advanced Techniques in Astrophysics, Cosmology, and Star and Planet Formation.
