Entry requirements
A level: AAB (specific subject requirements) BTEC: DDD in Product Design, Engineering or an Art and Design-related subject. IB: 17 points at higher level preferably including an Art and Design-related subject (desirable but not essential).
About this course
BSc in Product Design, an engineering and fashion design degree centred on the creation of physical and digital products. Core topics include Ethics & Professional Practice. Students can enhance their career prospects by opting for a paid industrial placement year. The first year introduces foundational principles through Engineering Materials, Contextual Studies and Ergonomics, and Design Studio 1. The second year progresses to Design Studio 2, Creativity in Professional Practice, and Design for Manufacture for Product Designers. The final year focuses on advanced applications, including the Design Project, Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical Systems, and Experience Design & User Interaction.
