About this course

BA in Religion, Theology and Society, a sociology, politics and international relations and theology and religion degree examining religious traditions across cultures and their impact on public life. Core topics include Research Methods. Students complete a final-year independent or integrated research project alongside an external placement. The first year establishes core foundations through compulsory modules such as Introduction to the Study of Religions, Bible and Theology: Texts and Traditions, Religion, Politics and Society in the Modern World, and Christian and Muslim Cultures: Global Religious Practice, while offering optional modules like Religions of India and Introduction to the Philosophy of Religion.
