BSc in Social Policy, Sociology & Crime, a sociology and social policy degree exploring the relationship between social problems, state institutions, and criminal justice systems. Core topics include Research Methods and Social & Cultural Analysis. Students complete a dissertation in the final year. The first year introduces urban contexts, crime, identities, social theory, and welfare states through compulsory modules such as Exploring the City: Local and Global Contexts, Crime and Society, Identities and Inequalities, Making Sense of Society: Reading Social Theory, and Debating Welfare States.
