About this course

BSc in Theoretical Physics (Industrial), a physics degree centred on mathematical and analytical methods. Core topics include Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The programme includes an industrial placement year and features a final-year collaborative research project. The final year focuses on advanced theoretical concepts through compulsory modules such as Advanced Quantum Physics and Project. Students can tailor their studies by choosing from optional modules including Quantum Matter, Advanced Optics with Photonics, Magnetism and Ferroic Materials, Theoretical Elementary Particle Physics, Advanced Mechanics, Molecular Simulation with Machine Learning: Theory and Practice, Star and Planet Formation, Cosmology, Groups and Symmetry, and Physics in Schools.
