Entry requirements

A level: AAB While no specific subjects are required, we prefer subjects which demonstrate a range of numerical, analytical and discursive abilities. These include: Biology, Business, Classical Civilisation, Chemistry, Economics, English Language/Literature, Geography, History, Languages, Law, Maths/Further Maths, Philosophy, Physics, Politics, Psychology, Religious Studies, and Sociology. In some circumstances we may ask applicants to achieve specific grades in certain subjects. IB: 35 (6,6,5 HL) BTEC: BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma: DDD BTEC Level 3 National Diploma: DD plus one A level at Grade A BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate: D plus two A levels at Grades AB If the BTEC is not in Business, then the A level should be in a preferred subject. Preferred BTEC: Business. Other BTEC subjects may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

About this course

BSc (Hons) in Business Analytics, a business and management degree centred on quantitative and data-driven methods for organizational decision-making. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Computer Architecture, Project Management, and Financial Analysis. Students can choose between a three-year full-time study route and a four-year full-time path incorporating an optional professional placement year. The first year establishes core competencies through compulsory modules such as Programming Fundamentals, Quantitative Business Skills A, Quantitative Business Skills B, and Business in the Digital Age, alongside optional choices including Introduction to Accounting and Principles of Finance. The second year advances analytical capabilities with compulsory study in Knowledge Data and Information Systems Development, Management Science Methods, and Data Analysis for Management, while offering options like Database Management, AI in Business, and Marketing. The final year focuses on advanced technical and applied concepts through compulsory modules including Managing Big Data, Advanced Analytics for Web and Social Media, Databases for Business Analytics, and a Work-Based Project, complemented by a broad range of optional modules spanning Business Forecasting, Financial Risk Management, and Project Management.
