About this course

BEng (Hons) in Engineering Management, a robotics engineering degree centred on the integration of technical engineering principles with business and organisational operations. Core topics include Programming, Project Management, Engineering Design, Global & Comparative Perspective. The course is accredited by the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (IMechE) and the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), and includes options for a four-year duration with a placement year or a three-year full-time route. The first year covers foundational principles through Engineering Mathematics, Applied Engineering, and Materials and Manufacturing Processes. The second year progresses to manufacturing systems and computational methods via Manufacturing Planning, Digitalisation, Simulation and Control, Engineering Business Dynamics, and Engineering Modelling and Software. The final year focuses on advanced leadership and technical delivery through Engineering Systems and Management, Lean Operations and Supply Chain Management, and an Individual Project. Optional modules allow specialisation in areas such as Organisation Structure and Strategy, Sustainable Engineering, Product Innovation Management, Metrology, and Additive for Healthcare and Innovation.
