About this course

BSc (Hons) in Information Technology Management for Business (ITMB), a computer science degree centred on managerial and technical approaches to business technology solutions. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Computer Architecture, Statistics, Project Management, Financial Analysis, Accounting, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Ethics & Professional Practice, Entrepreneurship, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The programme is delivered in collaboration with a large network of industry employers and an established business school, offering an optional professional placement year. The first year covers foundational subjects through Quantitative Business Skills, Introduction to Programming and Databases, Operating Systems, Networks, Security, and Principles of Finance. The second year progresses into advanced concepts via Object-oriented Programming Team Project, Management Science Methods, Software Engineering: Practices and Principles, and Information Architecture for AI and Digital Spaces. The final year introduces advanced study through Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Fundamentals of Strategic Management, and Data Mining and Machine Learning, alongside options such as Cloud Computing, Cyber Risk Management, and Mobile Application Development. Students may also complete a Computing Project or IT Project in the final year.
