Entry requirements

A level: AAB While no specific subjects are required, we prefer subjects which demonstrate a range of numerical, analytical and discursive abilities. These include: Biology, Business, Classical Civilisation, Chemistry, Economics, English Language/Literature, Geography, History, Languages, Law, Maths/Further Maths, Philosophy, Physics, Politics, Psychology, Religious Studies, and Sociology. In some circumstances we may ask applicants to achieve specific grades in certain subjects. IB: 35 (6,6,5 HL) BTEC: BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma: DDD BTEC Level 3 National Diploma: DD plus one A level at Grade A BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate: D plus two A levels at Grades AB If the BTEC is not in Business, then the A level should be in a preferred subject. Preferred BTEC: Business. Other BTEC subjects may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

About this course

BSc (Hons) in Management, a business and management degree centred on organisational theory, strategy, and commercial operations. Core topics include Programming, Computer Architecture, Data Analysis, Statistics, Project Management, Financial Analysis, Accounting, Marketing, Legal Analysis, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Global & Comparative Perspective. Students can choose between a three-year full-time study route or a four-year option incorporating a paid placement year. The first year covers core subjects through compulsory modules such as Responsible Management Practice, Business in the Digital Age, Management and International Business Fundamentals, and Principles of Marketing, alongside introductory quantitative skills. Students can also select optional modules like Principles of Finance, Principles of Law, and the University-wide Language Programme. The second year advances into technology and operations with compulsory studies in Knowledge Data and Information Systems Development, Operations and Supply Chain Management, The Future Workplace, and Business Sustainability Project, supported by optional choices covering database management, human resource management, and AI in business. The final year focuses on leadership and strategy via compulsory modules including Global Strategy Management, Entrepreneurship and Innovation, Work-Based Project, and Rethinking Leadership: Theory and Practice. Optional study in the final year spans specialist areas such as financial risk management, international marketing, project management, and enterprise resource planning.
