Entry requirements

A level: AAB While no specific subjects are required, we prefer subjects which demonstrate a range of numerical, analytical and discursive abilities. These include: Biology, Business, Classical Civilisation, Chemistry, Economics, English Language/Literature, Geography, History, Languages, Law, Maths/Further Maths, Philosophy, Physics, Politics, Psychology, Religious Studies, and Sociology. In some circumstances we may ask applicants to achieve specific grades in certain subjects. IB: 35 (6,6,5 HL) BTEC: BTEC Level 3 National Extended Diploma: DDD BTEC Level 3 National Diploma: DD plus one A level at Grade A BTEC Level 3 National Extended Certificate: D plus two A levels at Grades AB If the BTEC is not in Business, then the A level should be in a preferred subject. Preferred BTEC: Business. Other BTEC subjects may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

About this course

BSc (Hons) in Marketing, a marketing degree centred on commercial theory, consumer behaviour, and brand management within the Marketing and Business and Management subject areas. Core topics include Programming, Computer Architecture, Data Analysis, Statistics, Project Management, Financial Analysis, Accounting, Marketing, Legal Analysis, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Entrepreneurship, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Global & Comparative Perspective. The course holds CIM accreditation, offering exemptions towards a professional marketing qualification, and is available as a four-year full-time route with an integrated placement year or a three-year full-time option. The first year covers core foundations through compulsory modules such as Responsible Management Practice, Principles of Marketing, Introduction to Accounting, and Quantitative Business Skills A, alongside optional choices including Principles of Finance and Principles of Law. The second year expands into specialized study with compulsory modules like Consumer Psychology and Behaviour, Global Brand Management, Digital Marketing and Analytics, and Marketing Research, complemented by optional subjects such as AI in Business and Database Management. The final year concentrates on advanced concepts through compulsory modules including International Marketing, Sales Management, Marketing Strategy and Planning, and a Work-Based Project, while offering diverse optional modules such as Managing Big Data, Project Management, and Financial Risk Management.
