About this course
BSc in Data Science, a mathematics and statistics and computer science degree focusing on computational and statistical methods for problem-solving. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. The first year introduces foundational material through Elementary Statistical Theory, Mathematical Methods, Programming for Data Science, and Managing Visualising Data. The second year advances quantitative study with Probability and Distribution Theory, Applied Regression, Databases, Algorithms and Data Structures, and Further Mathematical Methods (Linear Algebra). The final year includes Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence alongside an Applied Statistics Project.
