About this course
BSc in Philosophy and Economics, an economics and philosophy degree exploring social and individual decision-making through rigorous analytical frameworks. Core topics include Statistics. Students progress from foundational economic theory and philosophical questions in the first year to advanced econometric techniques and philosophy of economics in later stages. Throughout the three years, studies balance core economic principles with philosophical inquiry. The first year establishes baseline understanding via Microeconomics I, Macroeconomics I, and The Big Questions: An Introduction to Philosophy. Second-year teaching introduces quantitative methods through Econometrics I and Econometrics II alongside Microeconomics II and Macroeconomics II, complemented by approved philosophy options. The final year incorporates specialised modules such as Philosophy of Economics alongside broader approved options in economics and philosophy.
