About this course
The Foundation Year in Humanities, an undergraduate foundation year in Humanities, introduces a range of disciplines to bridge the gap between school and undergraduate study. Students progress automatically to a chosen degree pathway upon successful completion, receiving a Certificate in Higher Education. Specific pathways include Ancient and Modern History, Classics, Classics and English, Classics and English with Beginner's Latin or Greek, English Language and Literature, History, History and English, Philosophy and Theology, and Theology and Religion. Alongside shared Humanities study and subject-specific teaching, students take the Preparation for Undergraduate Studies course. This additional component supports academic confidence, communication, and independent study.
