About this course

MEng in Materials Science, a materials science and engineering degree focused on the physics and chemistry of matter, engineering applications and industrial manufacturing processes. Core topics include Entrepreneurship. The fourth year features an eight-month full-time research project conducted within a research team. The first year covers the foundations through Physical foundations of materials, Structure and mechanical properties of materials, Mathematics for materials science and Computing for materials science (MATLAB). The second year advances into Lifecycle, processing and engineering of materials, Electronic properties of materials, Structure and thermodynamics of materials and Entrepreneurship course. The third year continues with Team design project, Introduction to materials modelling module and Materials options courses 1.
