Entry requirements

GCSE: English and Mathematics at grade 4/C or equivalent. A level: 96 points from a minimum of two A levels. BTEC: DMM in any subject. BTEC National Diploma modules: If you hold a BTEC qualification it is vital that you provide our Admissions team with details of the exact modules you have studied as part of the BTEC. Without this information we may be unable to process your application quickly and you could experience significant delays in the progress of your application to study with us. Please explicitly state the full list of modules within your qualification at the time of application. Access courses: Pass an Access to HE Diploma in any subject with at least 33 credits at merit/distinction. T level: Merit in any subject. International Baccalaureate: 26 overall. Other qualifications: Other combinations and non-A level qualifications are also considered. Direct entry to Year 3: Candidates with an appropriate Level 5 qualification, including apprenticeships, may be eligible for direct entry to Year 3 (Level 6).

About this course

BA (Hons) in Childhood and Youth Studies and Psychology. Core topics include Research Methods, Policy Analysis, Communication & Writing, and Ethics & Professional Practice. The programme includes work-based placements in settings with young children and a final-year research dissertation. Placements support meeting the Early Years Educator Standards.
