Entry requirements
GCSE: All applicants must have at least 5 GCSE (or equivalent) at grade C/4 or above and must include English, Maths and a Science. A level: 112 points to include Grade C in Biology or Chemistry. BTEC: BTEC National Diploma/Extended Diploma: DMM – must be science related and must contain Biology. Access to HE Diploma: Pass Access (e.g. Science, Health, Nursing, and Combined Science) with 45 credits at level 3, 30 at distinction to include 15 credits in Biology or Chemistry. A further 15 credits at level 3 must be at Merit level. Will need GCSE English and Maths at grade C/4. T level: Merit overall with a C or above in the core component in a Health/Science Subject. International Baccalaureate: 28 points - to include HL 5 in Biology or Chemistry. May consider Maths, Physics, Psychology, Sociology, Geography, Geology and Environmental science in lieu of Biology or Chemistry. English and Maths accepted within Higher Level = 4; Standard Level = 5. If overseas and not studying English within IB – MUST have IELTS. Interview days: Once your application has been received, we will consider your application to help us reach a decision. If successful at the initial screening stage, you will be invited to an interview. The majority of health courses interview applicants, as this is a requirement of many health regulatory bodies. About this course
BSc (Hons) in Nutrition. Core topics include Research Methods, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Global & Comparative Perspective. The programme includes three practice placements in healthcare settings and interprofessional learning modules shared with students from other health professions. A final-year dissertation allows independent investigation of a topic within nutrition and dietetics.
