A level: CCD We welcome applicants from non-traditional educational backgrounds (for example, mature students, students who study part-time or those who have studied at International Schools in the UK or elsewhere) and will consider applicants on a case-by-case basis. IB: 24 points overall
About this course
BA in English Language and Linguistics and Linguistics, exploring language as a system of communication and meaning. Core topics include language and translation, research methods, data analysis, statistics, and global and comparative perspectives. The programme spans four years, beginning with a foundation year that transitions directly into the three-year course. Students may also select a module from outside the department or learn one of ten languages offered by the university.
