Entry requirements
GCSE: English language and maths at grade C/grade 4 or above UCAS tariff: 104 UCAS points A level: 104 UCAS points from two full A-levels as a minimum. To include grade C or above in Mathematics and grade C or above in another numerate science-based subject (Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Design Technology or Computer Science). If you are applying for September 2027, the entry requirements will be 104 UCAS points with grade C or above in Mathematics and grade E or above in another numerate science-based subject. BTEC: Grade DMM required from Engineering or Applied Science. Not accepted: Electrical Engineering, Aviation Operations T level: Grade M in one of the following subjects: Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing Maintenance Installation and Repair for Engineering Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing and Control Foundation Year: Degree in a relevant subject (Aeronautical, Mechanical, Civil Engineering), passed with an overall mark of 60 or above. Access to HE: 104 UCAS Tariff points from a QAA approved Engineering or Science subject. Other subjects considered on a case-by-case basis.
About this course
BEng (Hons) in Aerospace Engineering, covering the design, analysis, and operation of aircraft systems. Core topics include Systems Design, Control Systems, Mathematical Modelling, Laboratory Techniques, and Project Management. The final year centres on an individual engineering project applying analysis, modelling, and simulation techniques to a substantial aircraft-related problem. The degree is accredited by the Royal Aeronautical Society under license from the Engineering Council, supporting progression toward Incorporated or Chartered Engineer registration.
