Entry requirements
GCSE: In addition to the following Level 3 requirements, you must have evidence of Level 2 GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above. UCAS tariff: 104 UCAS points. A level: Two full A-levels required as a minimum, including grade C in Maths and an E in a numerate science (Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Design Technology, Computer Science or Statistics). BTEC: Grade DMM required from Engineering or Applied Science. Not accepted: Electrical Engineering, Aviation Operations. T level: Overall grade M in one of the following subjects: Design and Development for Engineering and Manufacturing Maintenance Installation and Repair for Engineering Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Processing and Control Must have passed all components.
About this course
BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. Core topics include Control Systems, Mathematical Modelling, Programming, Laboratory Techniques, Engineering Design, and Project Management. Team-based design projects run throughout the programme alongside an individual final-year project. Accreditation by the Royal Aeronautical Society under license from the Engineering Council provides a pathway toward Incorporated or Chartered Engineer registration.
