Entry requirements
GCSE: In addition to Level 3 requirements, you must have evidence of Level 2 GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above. UCAS tariff: 112 UCAS points. A level: 112 UCAS points. Two full A-levels required as a minimum, including Grade B in MEI Maths or Grade C in in Maths, Pure & Statistics, Further Maths. BTEC: DDM in Science-based subjects (Engineering, Physics, Maths). T level: D in Science-based subject. Access to HE: Considered on a case-by-case basis. Scottish Highers: Two Scottish Higher Levels required including Higher Level Maths. Irish Leaving Certificate: Two Higher Levels required, including Higher Level Maths. IB: 30 points overall, including Grade 6 in Higher Level Maths Must have passed the full International Baccalaureate to be considered.
About this course
BSc (Hons) Mathematics, covering core theory and applied methods. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Classes are delivered through small group teaching with real-world case studies. A final-year project involves developing a mathematical model within research themes such as climate, nanotechnology, renewable energy, or sustainable economics.
