Entry requirements
GCSE: In addition to the following Level 3 requirements, you must have evidence of Level 2 GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above. UCAS tariff: 128 UCAS points. If you are applying for September 2027, the entry requirements will be 120 UCAS points. A level: Two full A-levels required as a minimum, to include Grade B in Maths and an E in a numerate science (Physics, Chemistry, Electronics, Design Technology, Computer Science, Statistics). If you are applying for September 2027, the entry requirements will be 120 UCAS points, including grade C in Maths and an E in a numerate science. BTEC: Grade DDM required from Engineering or Applied Science. Not accepted: Electrical Engineering, Aviation Operations. T level: T Levels accepted at grade D or above. Must be in one of the following subjects: 1. Building Services Engineering for Construction 2. Design, Surveying and Planning for Construction (Civil Engineering option) If you are applying for September 2027, the entry requirements will be grade M. Access to HE: Must be in a QAA approved Engineering or Science subject. Other subjects will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
About this course
MEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering. Core topics include programming, statistics, mathematical modelling, fieldwork, legal analysis, and engineering design. The course is professionally accredited and offers an optional industry placement year. A two-year individual project, started in the third year and completed in the final year, addresses themes of industrial relevance.
