Entry requirements
GCSE: English Language and Maths at grade C/level 4 or above (or equivalent). You must fulfil our GCSE entry requirements as well as one of the requirements listed below. UCAS tariff: 104 UCAS points. Preferred subjects include Theatre, Technical Theatre, Drama, or something with a focus on creative production. A level: 104 UCAS points. We would prefer subjects to include theatre, drama, or a subject related to creative production. T level: Merit. BTEC: DMM. We would prefer subjects to include theatre, drama, or a subject related to creative production. Access to HE: 104 UCAS Tariff Points from a Level 3 QAA approved Access programme. We would prefer subjects to include theatre, drama, or a subject related to creative production. Scottish Highers: 104 UCAS points. We would prefer subjects to include theatre, drama, or a subject related to creative production. Irish Leaving Certificate: 104 UCAS points. We would prefer subjects to include theatre, drama, or a subject related to creative production. IB: 29 points, 5 or 6 (Higher level) in a relevant subject. European Baccalaureate: Pass Diploma with 72% overall.
About this course
BA (Hons) in Performance and Design for Theatre and Screen, combining theatre production with screen-based creative work. Core topics include Computer Architecture, Fieldwork, Engineering Design, Ethics & Professional Practice, and Design & Creative Practice. Students may undertake a professional work placement of two to four weeks at an external theatre or cultural organisation, and can specialise in areas such as lighting, sound, video, stage management or set design.
