About this course
MEng in Civil and Structural Engineering, a civil engineering degree focused on infrastructure design, structural analysis, and mechanics. Core topics include Programming, Research Methods, Fieldwork, Project Management, Engineering Design, and Critical & Analytical Thinking. The first year covers foundational mathematics, structural mechanics, hydraulic principles, material strength, and introductory design projects. The second year progresses to soil mechanics, structural analysis, river engineering, parametric modelling, and further infrastructure design. The third year advances into complex building and bridge design, urban water systems, geotechnical engineering, and includes an investigative research project.
