About this course

BSc in Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence), an undergraduate degree centred in the Computer Science and Computer Science (Artificial Intelligence) subject areas. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Research Methods, Project Management, Engineering Design, Ethics & Professional Practice, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students complete a major individual research project as part of their final-year studies. The first year covers core foundations through Java Programming, Practical Algorithms and Data Structures, Systems and Networks, and Foundations of Computer Science. The second year progresses to advanced topics including Programming Language Principles, Databases and Logic in Computer Science, Automata, Computation and Complexity, and Cybersecurity in Action and Professional Issues. Optional modules in the final year allow specialisation in areas such as Deep Learning, Robotics, Cryptography, and Mobile Application Development, alongside a major Dissertation Project.
