About this course
BA in Economics BA, an economics degree exploring economic systems, market behaviour, and financial decision-making. Core topics include Data Analysis, Mathematical Modelling, Policy Analysis, Programming, Research Methods, and Statistics. Students undertake an independent research project and explore contemporary economic policy challenges through applied coursework. The first year covers foundational theory and data interpretation through Microeconomic Analysis and Policy, Macroeconomic Analysis and Policy, Statistical Methods for Economics, and Applied Data Analysis in Economics. The second year advances analytical capabilities with Intermediate Microeconomics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Applied Econometrics. Optional modules in later stages allow students to investigate diverse fields such as Industrial Organisation, Labour Economics, Health Economics, and Behavioural Economics. Additionally, students complete a compulsory Economics Research Project and Economic Policy and Practice.
