About this course
LLB in Law (European and International), a law degree centred on European and international legal systems alongside the common law of England and Wales. Core topics include Research Methods, Legal Analysis, Policy Analysis, Communication & Writing, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Global & Comparative Perspective. Students spend their third academic year studying abroad at an approved overseas institution to gain exposure to different legal frameworks. The first year establishes core legal foundations through compulsory modules such as Introduction to Law, Criminal Law and Justice, Contemporary Issues in Law and Justice, and Constitutional Law in the UK and EU. The second year continues with compulsory studies including The Individual and the State, Foundations of International Law, Advanced EU Law, and Land Law, alongside options like Punishment and Penal Policy and Principles of Comparative Law. After completing the year abroad, the final year covers compulsory advanced material such as Equity and Trusts and Advanced Issues in International Law. Students can further tailor their studies through optional modules spanning diverse areas such as International Trade Law, Criminal Process, Principles of Healthcare Law and Ethics, and Digital Lawyering.
