BMus in Music BMus, a music degree centred on academic and practical approaches to musical study. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Research Methods, Fieldwork, Historical Research, Critical & Analytical Thinking, Ethics & Professional Practice, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Design & Creative Practice, and Social & Cultural Analysis. The programme incorporates practical experiences within various musical industries. The first year covers core foundations through Music in a Global Context, Digital Skills for Music, History of Western Music, and Psychological Foundations of Music. The second year advances learning with modules such as Western Music in Context, Music Psychology in Practice, Studio Practice, and Work in Music.
