About this course
BMedSci in Nursing (Adult), an undergraduate nursing degree focusing on adult healthcare practice. Core topics include Research Methods, Clinical Skills, Critical & Analytical Thinking, and Ethics & Professional Practice. Students undertake supervised placement blocks in each year to build practical experience in clinical environments. The first year introduces foundational professional values and human anatomy through modules such as Health and Nursing 1, Health and Nursing 2, Anatomy and Physiology for Nursing, and Professional Practice 1 for Nursing. The second year expands into specialized care and pharmacology through modules including Caring for People with Long Term and Complex Care Needs, Caring for People with Acute and Short Term Needs, Pharmacology and Medicines Management for Nursing, and Research Methods and Evidence Based Practice for Nursing.
