About this course
MPhys in Physics with a Foundation Year, a physics degree centred on fundamental physical laws and mathematical principles. Core topics include Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, and Laboratory Techniques. The course begins with a foundational year designed to provide the scientific background required to progress onto standard MPhys degree courses. The foundation year features compulsory modules in Further Foundation Mathematics, Advanced Level Chemistry, Scientific and Laboratory Skills, and Foundations of Physics. Students also choose from optional modules such as Core Foundation Mathematics and Foundation Core and Enhanced Mathematics.
