About this course

BA (Hons) Social Work is an undergraduate social work degree centred on professional practice and social care. Core topics include Research Methods and Critical & Analytical Thinking. The second year deepens professional capabilities via Applied and Informed Practice, Social Work Assessment, Theory and Models, and Working in Partnership and in Organisations. The final year focuses on advanced practice and governance through Managing Risk and Safeguarding Practices and Independent Research Study, while allowing students to choose between optional modules in children's and adults' services.
