A level: AAB including an accepted subject (minimum grade B) IB: Pass, with 34 points overall with 17 points at Higher Level, including a minimum of 5 at Higher Level in an accepted science subject.
About this course
Integrated Masters degree in Science in Audiology, a physics degree centred on clinical and professional approaches to hearing healthcare. Core topics include Signal Processing, Research Methods, Clinical Skills, Ethics & Professional Practice. Students complete a 27-week clinical placement and undertake practical training in dedicated university clinics. The first year covers foundational theory through modules such as Biopsychosocial Basis of Audiology, Clinical and Professional Practice in Audiology 1, and Introduction to Hearing Science and Technology. The second year progresses with Experimental audiology research (EAR) methods, Clinical and Professional Practice in Audiology 2, and Audiology Clinical Placement 2. The third year involves further practical training through Audiology Clinical Placement 3, Clinical and Professional Practice in Audiology 3, and an Individual Project. The final fourth year advances academic study via Applied Research Methods and Research Project. Optional modules across the degree allow students to study subjects such as Behavioural Neuroscience, Perception, Introduction to Paediatric Audiology, Advanced Clinical Audiology, and Vestibular Audiology.
