About this course
Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering, a civil engineering degree centred on infrastructure development, environmental sustainability, and structural design. Core topics include Mathematical Modelling and Engineering Design. Students undertake practical laboratory sessions, design projects based on real sites, and a final-year individual project. The first year covers fundamental engineering science through An Introduction to Civil Engineering Design and Digital Skills, Civil Engineering Fundamentals, and Mechanics, Structures and Materials. The second year expands into specialized topics with City Infrastructure Design Project, Soil Mechanics, and Structural Design. The third year consolidates core knowledge through Integrated Design, Individual Project, and Geotechnical Engineering, while optional modules such as Human Factors in Engineering, Railway Engineering and Operations, Urban Design, and Urban Water and Wastewater Engineering allow further exploration of specific professional areas.
