About this course
Bachelor of Science in Economics, an economics degree centred on market analysis, policy evaluation, and financial decision-making. Core topics include Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, Research Methods, Policy Analysis, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Global & Comparative Perspective. Students can choose between three separate pathways after the first year: Economics, Econometrics, and Behavioural economics. Facilities include a behavioural economics laboratory and a financial laboratory. The first year covers core subjects through Mathematics for Economics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Statistics for Economics, alongside optional modules such as Population and Society. The second year builds on this foundation with compulsory studies in Applied Econometrics, Intermediate Macroeconomics, and Intermediate Microeconomics, while offering options like Development Economics and Games. The final year focuses on independent research through Dissertation: Literature Review and allows specialisation via optional modules such as International Trade, Labour Economics, and Public Economics.
