A level: Our standard offer is BBC at A-level or equivalent qualification, we also consider grades of comparable value and offer on these taking into account the suitability of the portfolio submission for the intended course. IB: Pass, with 28 points overall with 14 points at Higher Level
About this course
Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art, a fine art degree focusing on contemporary art practice through studio work and material exploration. Core topics include Design & Creative Practice. Students can undertake a year abroad or a year in employment between stages. The first year introduces contemporary art methods through compulsory modules such as Contested Terrains, Myth, Illusion and The Virtual, Studio Practice 1A, and Studio Practice 1B. The second year expands technical exploration and media engagement via Expanded Fields, Invisible Objects, and Studio Practice 2B, alongside optional collaborative briefs like Collaborate (A), Collaborate (B), and Collaborate (C). The final year culminates in intensive independent studio experimentation and presentation through modules including Final Major Project (BAFA), Framing your project, Professional Planning (Fine Art), Strategies of Showing, and Studio Practice 3A.
