Entry requirements
A level: AAA. We require at least two A-level subjects that are typically assessed through written coursework and/or examinations. Only one subject with a primarily practical or performance-based focus will be considered as part of the standard offer. IB: Pass, with 36 points overall with 18 points at Higher Level
About this course
Bachelor of Laws in Law, a law degree centred on legal analysis and study. Core topics include Research Methods, Legal Analysis, and Design & Creative Practice. All undergraduate programmes lead to qualifying law degrees recognised by the Solicitors Regulation Authority and the Bar Standards Board, allowing students to shadow judges, advise clients at the Law Clinic, or participate in mooting competitions. The first year introduces foundational subjects through Constitutional and Administrative Law, Contract Law, Criminal Law, Environment, Sustainability and International Law, and Legal System, Skills and Reasoning. The second year progresses with Equity and Trusts, European Union (EU) Law and UK-EU relationship: Foundations, Land Law, and Tort Law, alongside optional choices such as Commercial and Consumer Law, Criminal Justice, and Employment Law. In the final year, students can select from a wide range of specialised options including Admiralty Law: Maritime Casualties and Claims, Advanced Public International Law, Company Law, and International Human Rights Law.
