About this course

Bachelor of Science in Mathematics with Actuarial Science, a mathematics degree centred on mathematical and accounting and finance subject areas. Core topics include Programming, Data Analysis, Statistics, Mathematical Modelling, and Financial Analysis. Students can specialise in statistics and actuarial science and undertake a final-year project. The first year covers foundational principles through Calculus I, Calculus II, Computational Mathematics, and Introduction to Statistics. The second year progresses to advanced mathematical theory and applications with Analysis, Partial Differential Equations, Statistical Inference, and Statistical Modelling I. In the final year, students complete a compulsory Mathematics Project alongside optional modules spanning areas such as Actuarial Mathematics I, Machine Learning, Financial Mathematics, and Survival Models.
