About this course

Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineering is an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering and aerospace engineering. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Control Systems, Data Analysis, Mathematical Modelling, Financial Analysis, Accounting, and Engineering Design. Students undertake an individual project in the third year and a group design project in the final year. The first year covers foundational engineering disciplines through An Introduction to Engineering Design, Data Science and Computing for Engineers, Electrical and Electronics Systems, and ThermoFluids. The second year progresses with Electronics and Control, Engineering Management and Law, Fluid Mechanics, and Systems Design and Computing. The third year advances into Aerodynamics, Engineering Design with Management, Finite Element Analysis in Solid Mechanics, and Heat Transfer and Applications, alongside optional modules such as Accounting and Finance for Engineers, Aircraft Structural Design, Failure of Materials and Components, and Technology Fundamentals for Sustainable Energy. The final year comprises compulsory studies in Aircraft Propulsion, Applications of CFD, Group Design Project, and Materials, Manufacturing and Supply Chain Management, paired with optional modules like Advanced Computational Methods I, Aeroacoustics, Composites Engineering Design and Mechanics, and Hypersonic & High Temperature Gas Dynamics.
