About this course
Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience, a biomedical science degree centred on the study of the nervous system from the molecular level to complex behaviours. Core topics include Research Methods. The first year establishes foundational knowledge through Chemistry of Life, Fundamentals of Biochemistry, and The Human Genome and Disease. The second year examines core areas with modules such as Flow of Genetic Information, Immunology, Infection and Inflammation, and Neuroscience, alongside optional modules including Bioinformatics and Pharmacology. The final year focuses on advanced study through compulsory modules like Cellular and Molecular Neuroscience and Pharmacology of Neuropsychiatric Disorders, while allowing students to choose from options such as In-Silico Research Project, Laboratory Research Project, and Systems Neuroscience.
