A level: BBB including one science IB: Pass with 30 points overall with 15 points at Higher Level including a science or social science subject.
About this course
Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy, an occupational therapy degree focused on health sciences, therapeutic approaches, and patient care. Core topics include Research Methods and Ethics & Professional Practice. Students complete 1,000 hours on placements in the community, social care, and hospitals, and are eligible to register with the Health and Care Professions Council upon graduation. The first year covers foundational health sciences and core practice through Anatomy and Physiology, Foundations of Occupational Therapy Practice, and Introduction to Professional Practice, alongside a six-week placement. The second year progresses with Integrated Occupational Therapy Principles, Practice and Theory, Occupations by Design, and Therapeutic Engagement Skills, complemented by two six-week placements. The final year involves advanced study via Advancing Occupational Therapy Practice, Leadership and Innovation in Healthcare, an eleven-week placement, and a dedicated research project.
