About this course
Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy, a physiotherapy degree focused on the clinical assessment and rehabilitation of patients. Core topics include Research Methods, Ethics & Professional Practice. Students complete over 1,000 hours of clinical placements across settings ranging from community clinics to large hospitals. Year 1 introduces foundational concepts through Anatomy and Physiology, Foundations of Physiotherapy Practice, Introduction to Professional Practice, and Practice-Based Learning (Placement) 1. Year 2 advances clinical reasoning and patient management through Healthy Discussions for Physiotherapy, Living Well with Multiple Long-Term Conditions, Practice-Based Learning (Placement) 2, and Rehabilitation Across the Lifespan. Year 3 prepares students for employment with modules such as Leadership and Innovation in Healthcare, Practice -Based Learning (Placement) 4, Research Project for Physiotherapy, and Transition to Practice / Pre-Preceptorship. Optional modules in the final year include Professional Development: Independent Project, Professional Development: Preparing for On Call, and Professional Development: Taught CPD.
