About this course
Bachelor of Science in Politics and International Relations, a politics and international relations degree centred on the analysis of global systems, political theory, and governance. Core topics include Data Analysis, Research Methods, Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, and Social & Cultural Analysis. Students complete an independent dissertation in their final year. The first year establishes core foundations through compulsory modules such as Comparative Politics, Crises of the 21st Century, Engaging Political Ideas, and Introduction to International Relations. The second year shifts towards advanced theoretical frameworks and specialized perspectives, featuring compulsory modules like The Struggle for Democracy and Theorising International Politics. Optional modules in later stages allow focused study in areas such as Chinese Politics, Gender, Power and Politics, and Migration, Borders, Refuge: Political Ethics in an Age of Mobility. The course concludes with the Dissertation in Politics & International Relations.
