About this course

Bachelor of Engineering in Robotics with Industrial Placement Year, a robotics with industrial placement year degree focused on the creation and management of autonomous machines. Core topics include Programming, Systems Design, Control Systems, Data Analysis, Mathematical Modelling, Accounting, Engineering Design, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. Students complete an industrial placement year between the second and final years to gain professional practice. The first year covers fundamental engineering disciplines through An Introduction to Engineering Design, Data Science and Computing for Engineers, Electrical and Electronics Systems, and Mathematics for Engineering and the Environment. The second year progresses to Applied Mechatronic Systems, Electronics and Control, Engineering Management and Law, and Fundamentals of Robot Kinematics and Dynamics. The third year consists of the Industrial Placement Year. The final year concludes with advanced studies including Applied Matrices for Computation and Machine Learning, Control and Instrumentation, Robotic Systems, and an Individual Project.
