About this course
Bachelor of Engineering in Software Engineering, a software engineering degree centred on the design, analysis and construction of reliable software systems. Core topics include Programming, Computer Architecture, Embedded Systems, Signal Processing, Statistics, and Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning. This degree is accredited by the Institution of Engineering and Technology and the British Computer Society. The first year covers foundational concepts through Algorithmics, Computer Systems I, Data Management, Mathematics I, Mathematics II, Networks and Security, Programming I, Programming II, and the COMP Part I Laboratory Programme. The second year progresses to Artificial Intelligence, Computer Systems II, Formal Specification and Verification, Programming III, Programming Language Concepts, Software Design and Development Project, and Theory of Computing. In the final year, students undertake the Part III Individual Project Phase 1 and Part III Individual Project Phase 2, and can choose from optional modules such as Advanced Computer Architecture, Cloud Application Development, Computer Vision, Game Design and Development, and Real-Time Computing and Embedded Systems.
