About this course
BSc (Honours) in Animal Behaviour, an animal science degree focused on the scientific study of how animals interact with their environment and each other. Core topics include Research Methods. The course includes a four-year full-time structure incorporating core modules in foundational biology, evolutionary theory, and advanced behavioural principles. The first year covers foundational concepts through Biology 1 and Biology 2. The second year expands into specific areas with modules such as Animal Behaviour, Evolutionary Biology, Research Methods in Biology, Vertebrate Zoology, and Zoology. Unassigned modules include Animal Behaviour: A Quantitative Approach, Ecosystems and Conservation, Evolution, and Genes, Cells and Development, allowing further specialisation across related biological disciplines.
