About this course
BSc (Honours) in Economics, an economics and geography degree centred on the study of markets, resource allocation and economic policy. Core topics include Statistics and Mathematical Modelling. This four-year full-time undergraduate programme builds rigorous analytical training through structured quantitative methods. The first year introduces foundational principles through Macroeconomics and Microeconomics. The second year advances this understanding with Intermediate Macroeconomics, Intermediate Microeconomics, Mathematics for Economists, and Statistics for Economists. Subsequent study incorporates compulsory Econometrics alongside a wide selection of optional modules covering topics such as Behavioural Economics: Individual Decisions and Welfare, Development Economics, Game Theory, and International Trade.
