About this course
BSc (Honours) in Materials Chemistry, a chemistry degree focused on the composition, structure, microstructure, and properties of matter to design new materials. The degree is accredited by the Royal Society of Chemistry. The first year covers core foundations through Inorganic and Physical Chemistry 1, Introductory Inorganic and Physical Chemistry, and Organic and Biological Chemistry 1. The second year progresses with Inorganic Chemistry 2, Organic Chemistry 2, Organic Chemistry 2 (French), and Physical Chemistry 2. Later stages include advanced study modules such as Chemistry of Materials, Functional Materials and Electrons in Solids, Introduction to Analysis of Materials, Processing of Materials, and Quantum Theory of Atoms, Molecules and Solids.
