About this course

BSc (Honours) in Mathematics, a mathematics degree centred on psychology and geography. Core topics include Statistics and Mathematical Modelling. The course is accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications. Students start with foundational mathematical ideas and techniques. The second year builds expertise across multiple areas through modules such as Abstract Algebra, Analysis, Combinatorics and Probability, and Linear Mathematics. Additional second-year study includes Multivariate Calculus and Statistical Inference. Later stages provide access to advanced topics including Bayesian Inference, Classical Mechanics, and Fractal Geometry. Students also complete higher-level modules at the 3000, 4000, and 5000 levels.
